ABOUT

"Above" is a miniature space odyssey that toys with scale and perspective. This challenging/rewarding personal project is a study of texture, atmosphere, and proceduralism. My second personal short (1st being "Macro"), proved again to be a tremendous experience for artistic growth and technical proficiency. Starting off as an exercise to become familiar with Houdini's terrain generation tools, this project progressed into a piece that is inching ever closer to quieting my inner creative demons :)

"Macro" is a personal experimental short that explores the tiny moments which comprise our natural world. This meditative, loose-narrative weaves a thread through a lush micro-world, nuanced by the details that we often overlook. This is my first personal short and it was a tremendously enlightening process, creating a 100% CG piece based heavily in the world of macro photography.
